The Lignum Vitae Club is a non-profit organisation run by professional Jamaican women, whose purpose is to provide and deliver opportunities for women to champion, support and develop projects/activities to benefit their communities locally and globally.

The Lignum Vitae Club, named after one of Jamaica's national emblems, was established in the UK over 35 years ago and its members are devoted to the principle of service, the advancement of the individual and of Jamaican communities both nationally and internationally.

promote, celebrate and elevate the contributions and achievements of Jamaican women within the context of the wider Jamaican community
support and promote the interest and development of young people of Jamaican heritage
provide a voice for Jamaican women, and a wider awareness of issues facing the Jamaican community
offer opportunities for social and professional networking as well as for individuals to develop and demonstrate leadership skills
fund-raise in order to contribute to charitable and humanitarian causes
compliment the work of partner organisations and the charity sectors serving the Jamaican community.
